Program Overview

As part of the Department of Natural Sciences, the Chemistry Program at Del Mar College offers Associate in Arts (AA) and Associate in Science (AS) degrees in Chemistry. For those entering a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree program in chemistry, these degrees are accepted at colleges and universities. The Chemistry Program provides the core courses, General Inorganic Chemistry I and II as well as Organic Chemistry I and II. These are required for all baccalaureate degrees in chemistry. These courses also provide a foundation for biological sciences, environmental sciences, and engineering degrees.
