The Kappa Chi jazz-rock-country-polka-Tejano-blues-Zydeco band played a Mills Music Mission to entertain evacuees from Hurricane Katrina at a local shelter. While the band was playing, other brothers passed out lollipops to the audience (and to themselves).

Rudy Palacios, George Kopf, president Matt Treviño, advisor David Irving, and volunteer Zach Bell were among the band members performing at the shelter.
