Board Interviewing Applicants on August 14

By the filing deadline of noon today, Aug. 9, a total of four individuals had submitted their letters of interest and resumes for consideration to be appointed to the District 4 seat vacated last month by former Del Mar College Regent James Duerr. The College’s Board of Regents will interview the applicants on Tuesday morning, Aug. 14. The Board may seat the appointed individual that afternoon during the regular meeting that begins at 1 p.m.

The appointment to the Board will extend to the November 2014 election.

Individuals who filed for the seat include:

• Mary D. Goldston

• Richard Navarro

• Brooke Stewart

• Todd M. Walter

For the three Board positions on the November ballot, the filing deadline is 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 20. Those Board positions include one at-large representative and District 1 and District 3 seats.
