Campus Activities/Events
Del Mar College
offers a wide variety of activities/events for well-balanced academic as well
as social engagement. The Office of Student Leadership & Campus Life sponsors
activities/events such as Viking Day, Welcome Back to Campus, Spring Break Bash
as well as civic events (Constitution Day, Veterans Day, and World Aids Day)
and other Educational Awareness Workshops. The office also host weekly fun
engagement activities such as Open Mic Lunch, Wii Wednesday and Movie Monday.
New Student Orientation
New Student
Orientation familiarizes prospective incoming and transfer students with
essential information concerning College rules and regulations, student
services and activities. Attendance is strongly recommended, since pertinent
information is shared which enhances and improves a student’s opportunity for
success.
Clubs/Organizations
Clubs and
Organizations helps students make a connection and engage themselves at all
levels of campus life. Del Mar College has honors, social and professional
clubs and organizations. Students are encouraged to participate in more than 30
clubs/organizations on campus. Registrations for all organizations are on file
in the Office of Student Leadership & Campus Life (Hardin Center Room 105).
Any club/organization not registered with the Office of Student Leadership
& Campus Life will not be recognized as an active club/organization on
campus.
Campus Governance
Campus Governance
enables collaboration between students, faculty and Del Mar College
administration through Student Government Association (SGA) and shared governance
committees, including the Student Service Fee Committee.
Student
Government Association (SGA) functions as the crucial link between the Del Mar
College student body and Del Mar College administration. SGA works/operates to
improve the quality of student life and educational experience at Del Mar
College by acting as an advocate for all Del Mar College students’
issues/concerns.
The Student
Service Fee Committee (SSFC) is a student-directed committee that provides
input in the planning and implementing of activities and events for students.
The Committee advises the administration on the type, amount, and expenditures
of compulsory fees for student activities/events.
Service/Community Involvement
Del Mar
College Office Student of Student Leadership & Campus Life promotes and
offers various volunteer opportunities throughout the Coastal Bend Area to help
students learn the value of civic engagement and social responsibility through
volunteerism. Please contact the office of SLCL to find out what opportunities
are available to individual students as well as clubs/organizations.

of Student Leadership & Campus Life provides leadership training and
development for student leaders through speaker series through (The National
Society of Leadership and Success), workshops and other events
Student Code of Conduct
By enrolling
at Del Mar College, students agree to abide by the college’s Student Standard
of Conduct. These standards also establish disciplinary procedures for students
accused of violating those standards. The Student Standards of Conduct and
Disciplinary Process are published on the college’s website. (B7.13 Standards of Student
Conduct Policy: Revised SEPTEMBER 28, 2010. This policy is applicable to all
students enrolled in Del Mar College to ensure that all practices and actions
of the College are applied to students in an equal and nondiscriminatory manner).

The Office
of Student Leadership & Campus Life reserves various conference rooms

Small Business Internship Program
The Del Mar College Small Business Internship
Program is an opportunity for small businesses in Corpus Christi to grow with
the assistance of highly-trained intern students to meet their specific
business’ needs. It is a
partnership with small business employers who can offer intern students
productive and meaningful work assignments with a learning component related to
