Course discusses business computer terminology, hardware, software, operating systems and information systems relating to the business
environment. The main focus of this course is on business applications of software, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations graphics and business-oriented utilization of the Internet. Prerequisite: Keyboarding proficiency. Assessment Levels: R3.

BCIS 2390. SYSTEM ANALYSIS AND DESIGN (2-3-3) 52.1203.5104
Analysis of business information needs and preparation of specifications and requirements for appropriate data system solutions. Includes instruction in information requirements analysis, specification development and writing, prototype evaluation and network application interfaces. Topics include methods, tools and techniques to analyze, design and implement a computerized information system. Course may be offered as ITSE 1350. Prerequisite: ITSE 1402 or COSC 1436. Assessment Levels:R3.
