The College Connections Program at Del Mar College is a partnership between the community college and the school districts to facilitate the college admission process for all high school seniors. Public school students completing the program will be guaranteed admission to Del Mar College before they graduate from high school.

Through the College Connections Program, Del Mar College works with the high school teachers and counselors to give students the opportunity to easily complete the college admission acceptance process. Students engaged in the College Connections Program will complete these steps before graduation:

•Del Mar College Application for Admission
•Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
•Assessment testing to determine the recommended level of college courses
•Advising and counseling to plan a successful college degree or certificate

To be successful, the College Connections Program takes the commitment from the student to prepare for a future that includes college or university study.

The program requires parent cooperation and encouragement to complete the necessary application forms. College Connections works through cooperation between Del Mar College and independent school districts.

What are the benefits? When high school seniors receive their diplomas, they also receive a letter of acceptance to Del Mar College. They graduate knowing that they are ready to enroll for college courses as soon as their advising, assessment and financial aid applications are complete.
