Virtual College of Texas (VCT)
Career Selection Program
Targets Radiologic Technology students who applied but were not admitted into the program. Assists them to improve their academic ability and GPA. Provides career exploration to expand their career options.
Christus Spohn Associate Academy
Provides assistance to the Christus Spohn employees that are attending the Christus Spohn Associate Academy. Coordination with the Division of Business to provide support services to this population.
College Connections
The College Connections Program at Del Mar College is a partnership between the community college and the school districts to facilitate the college admission process for all high school seniors. Students engaged in the College Connections Program will complete these steps before graduation:
- Del Mar College Application for Admission
- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Assessment testing to determine the recommended level of college courses
- Advising and counseling to plan a successful college degree or certificate

Counseling Advising and Mentoring Program (C.A.M.P.)
TOPDisability Services
Provides assistance to students with disabilities. The office works with all types of disabilities from learning to physical by providing classroom/testing accommodations, assistive technology, academic advising and advocate services. Works with an average of 350 students per semester.
Early Alert Warning
Program designed to provide support to faculty in retention of students in their classes. It assists students who are experiencing academic and/or attendance difficulties so that appropriate intervention can occur. Pilot program targets students in the Reading Department.
Family Self Sufficiency Program
Targets high at-risk students who are residents of the Corpus Christi Housing Authority. Promotes self-sufficiency through improvement of work skills and education. Goal is to assist the students to obtain job skills through education that will enhance their income earning ability.
Honors Program
Encourages students to challenge their academic ability by enhancing their coursework with enriched, skill-building experiences through Honors Projects. The program strives to model students as future leaders, followers and thinkers.
Kingsville 2+2 Engineering Transition Program
Cooperative initiative between Del Mar and the TAMU-Kingsville Engineering Department to facilitate and increase student transfers into the Engineering Department. Targets students who are interested in exploring engineering as a career field.
LVN/RN Readmit Program
Assists all students who have been readmitted into the LVN and RN programs. Follows students throughout the semester to monitor progress and address obstacles that may occur. Individual counseling to provide resources that will help insure success throughout the remainder of the LVN/RN program.
National Career Guidelines Seminars
TOPNational Science Foundation
The Computer Science, Engineering, and Mathematics Scholarship (CSEM.S.) provides need-based scholarships for up to 36 students currently attending Del Mar College who are pursuing targeted majors. $2,500 per year, 12 hours, 2.5 GPA. Visit the CSEM.S. Web Site .
National Science Foundation S-STEM
National Science Foundation S-STEM is an Need Based scholarships up to $5000.00 for Biology, Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Technology, Geology, Geographic Information SysteM.S., Mathematics, or Physics. Pre-Engineering majors such as Civil, Chemical, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering should declare a major of either Mathematics or Physics. No Child Left Behind
Targets individuals employed by the K-12 education system. Provides support services to assist them to improve their ability by furthering their education, including on-site visits.
Northside Mentoring Program
Collaborative efforts between DMC, Cooperative Title V, and community agencies to provide tutoring, mentoring, and counseling to low-socioeconomic disadvantaged K-5 students living at Northside Manor Apartments.
Student Success Initiative
Targets students who are on Academic Probation or Academic Withdrawal. Seminars offered on topics such as time management, study and test taking skills, stress management, learning styles, career decision making, and resources available. Fosters student retention by providing a variety of counseling and guidance services.
TAMUCC Education Transfer Program
TOPTitle V
Provides turoing, mentoring, intervention, and counseling to students enrolled in Learning Communities (linked courses) through the Cooperative Title V (CTV) Grant. Learning styles assessment and Preliminary course plans are discussed with students on a one-to-one basis through the Counseling Department Program. Assists and guides students in career decision making and in successful completion of coursework. Visit the Title V Web Site .
Virtual College of Texas (VCT)
Provides additional access to credit and non-credit classes. Through a network of community colleges, students can enroll and earn credits towards a degree. The classes are transcripted as DMC courses. Responsible for registering and advising students; updating class offerings; certifying lease fee invoices; monitoring withdrawals; resolving grade discrepancies; working with the registrars, business and administrative service offices as well as the departmental chairs.
