 America Online

In the past, students using America Online's software have experienced significant problems viewing web sites with frames. In particular, students have not been able to use Web CT. Web CT is a computer program that allows students to take online tests and quizzes and participate in student discussions and other class activities. Additionally, many of the course's online tutorials use frames.

Because of these problems, students will be required to use Netscape Communicator 4.0 or higher or MS Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. If America Online is your Internet service provider, you have two options:

  • Upgrade to America Online version 4.0 or above. Users have not encountered the frames problems with this version.Get the AOL software that has Netscape Communicator 4.0 or higher built in.
  • Download a free copy of Netscape Communicator 4.0 or higher by clicking on the link below.Log onto the Internet using older versions of America Online. Once your connection is established, launch Netscape Communicator to view course materials.
