The Del Mar College Bookstore is located on the East Campus in the Harvin Student Center. Two privately owned bookstores are located near the East Campus on Ayers Street. Online ordering is available.

Student ID cards are free at initial registration and must be validated each registration period. A validated ID card is also required to attend Del Mar College functions, use Library materials and for recreational facilities use. Contact the Student Activities Office for additional information.

Technology centers exist in the libraries on both campuses and provide access to personal computers, a variety of software, and the Internet.

The Office of Special Services offers services to assist students in overcoming obstacles to education: adult students in transition, students with disabilities, occupational and technical students and senior citizens pursuing educational interests.
Distance learning course orientations

Students enrolled in certain distance learning courses including telecourses and online courses may be required to complete an orientation. Orientations typically include information on the Web-based course environment and instructor expectations. Orientation schedules can be found in the Class Schedule or the online orientation schedule.
Telecourse video and DVD rental

Students taking telecourses may rent videotapes or DVDs (depending on availability) of the course material for $15 a semester from the Department of Distance Learning, located on the 4th floor, Room 412 of the White Library-East Campus. Materials must be returned at the end of each semester. Rental fees are nonrefundable.

ACT, certification and licensure exams, CLEP, COMPASS, correspondence exams, DSST, GED, NET, THEA Quick Test (previously called Quick TASP), THEA (previously called TASP), VUE. The Testing Center also offers testing services to VCT students.

The Stone Writing Center is located in the English Learning Center on the East campus and provides writing assistance for both campus-based and online students.
