First
determine what you want to achieve in your lifetime. Lifetime goals gives you
the overall perspective of your life and sets the tone for the other elements
of your life. The following categories are only suggestions to help get you
started:
Artistic: do you enjoy painting, music, writing, or other forms of self expression? Then describe what talents you hope to develop and/or exploit.
Attitude: What of your mindset and how you behave? If any part of your attitude holds you back, then develop goals that will cure or at least improve the problem.
Career: How far do you wish to progress in your career?
Education: What knowledge do you hope to acquire, and what information and/or skills will you need?
Family: Is marriage a possibility? And what about children?
Financial: What do you hope to earn in one year, five years, ten years, and beyond? Be specific.
Physical: Are you an athlete? Are there specific athlitec goals you hope to attain at some point in your life? How will you achieve these goals?
Pleasure: Don't forget to have some fun in your life. Jot down some activities that you find pleasurable.
Public: What sorts of public service do you want to do? Serving your fellow man is a win-win proposition, so make sure you include activities that are enjoyable to you and serve in the public interest.
