| The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
(Ultrasound Technologist) is a skilled person qualified by academic
and clinical education to provide patient services using diagnostic
ultrasound under the supervision of a qualified doctor of medicine
or osteopathy, whose responsibility is the use and interpretation
of ultrasound procedures. The sonographer scans the patient and
provides the physician with adequate information to make the best
possible diagnosis. |

The field of Sonography has grown at an accelerated rate in the
past few years due to the advances in technology. Jobs are plentiful
nation wide with growing demands in all fields of Sonography.
Hospitals, clinics, private offices, as well as sales, service,
and application specialists present career opportunities for our
graduates. Our Program offers specialties in Abdomen, Obstetrics/Gynecology,
and Vascular Sonography. Graduates are eligible upon graduation
to take the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. |
