The following information will assist you in applying
for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography

WITH THE PROPER PAPERWORK AT THE PROPER TIME!
- You must be eligible and applied for admission to Del Mar College.
- You must supply the Registrar's Office with official copies of college transcripts.
- You must also, supply the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program office with copies of official transcripts.
- You must have completed a General Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Application or an Echocardiology Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Application.
- You must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
- If applicable, copies of degrees, certificates, or registries in the health field.
- You must complete all 32 hours of the prerequisites.
- You must have an advising session with the program director, for information call (361) 698-2833.
- You will be selected on an individual basis by Admissions Committee.
- The deadline for accepting applications is March 1st of each year.
- You will receive written notification upon acceptance to the program by July 1st.
- Students are required to provide their own transportation to clinical sites and navy blue scrubs.
- Students are expected to travel to out of area clinical sites all of which are within 60 mile radius of the college.
