• Important Notice for Del Mar College students enrolled and employees on staff from 1996-2007

    Del Mar College officials have learned that several paper documents created between 1996 and 2007 that should have been shredded were inadvertently discarded in a recycling bin on campus without being shredded. The paper documents included personal identifying information pertaining to some 400 employees and students.

    • Some names, mailing addresses and Social Security numbers were included in the documents.
    • No Internet or computer breach of this information was discovered.
    • No evidence suggests the information has been used in any unauthorized manner.
    • College officials are in the process of attempting to contact the individuals whose information may have been released.
