Student Lounge

Virginia Woolf once claimed that a writer needs a room of his or her own. We agree. That is one reason why the Student Lounge has been created.

Any of our English majors may use the lounge on a walk-in basis or by appointment. Easy to schedule, the sign-in / appointment book is kept in the English office. Ask for it at the front counter or just select the day and time you want and pencil in your name.

Located on the first floor of the English building, this room just for our English majors offers:

    • A quiet place to study, think, read, or write
        • An informal, small-group meeting room
        •  A place of retreat (important to creative souls!)

The Student Lounge comes equipped with:

    • internet-connected computer and printer
        • phone
        •  paper, pens, and reference books
        •  desk, chairs, sofa
        •  VCR/TV monitor
        •  file cabinet
        •  noticeboard

The Student Lounge also features a selection of children's books and coloring pens/paper if you have children (or a child) and need to bring them with you.

To use the lounge, just write your name in the Student Lounge Book, located at the front counter of the English Building office ... that is, of course, if you're an English major.
