Denial of Financial Aid

A student may be denied financial assistance for several reasons:

  • Shortage of funds
  • Incomplete application
  • Failure to maintain satisfactory progress
  • Be in default, or owe program refund.
The student has the right to appeal if a denial is based on the failure to maintain satisfactory progress due to extenuating circumstances. The student may appeal by means of the Financial Aid Appeal Form that is available in the Financial Aid Services. The Financial Aid Services will notify the student of the results of the appeal.
