Types of Scholarships at Del Mar College:

Del Mar College Scholarships
Several scholarships are available to Del Mar academic, technical, and occupational students. Financial need is a consideration in awarding some of these scholarships. Recipients of the scholarships are selected by various committees. Students submit a Scholarship Application along with a high school and / or college transcript to the Financial Aid Office. Incoming freshman applicants also submit a letter of recommendation from their high school counselor and / or principal.

State Funded Scholarships
To be considered for State-Funded Scholarships, students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and demonstrate financial need.

Departmental Scholarships
Several scholarships are awarded by various departments. Recipients are selected by the department's Scholarship Subcommittee. For more information, contact the appropriate department.

Del Mar College Foundation Scholarships
The Del Mar College Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees whose mission is to support education at Del Mar College. The Foundation awards scholarships in the fall and spring semesters and the summer session.

Del Mar College Former Student's Association Scholarships

Private Donor Scholarships
A number of companies and organizations have donated money for scholarship use to
minorities.
