Design for Change Continued
As Del Mar College moves into the 21st Century, the planning of its facilities must consider the world’s limited resources. Thus, as a forward thinking educational institution, Del Mar College can assume a leadership role in protecting the environment and conserving its natural resources. Any less than a full commitment to conservation and preservation will not be acceptable to the students and to the community.
“Sustainability” and “Green Architecture” are the terms currently used to describe the wide range of activities that will reduce the adverse impact of the built environment on undeveloped land. Since our natural resources are finite, we have a mandate to conserve and recycle whenever possible.
