The Del Mar College Testing Center serves as an Official GED Test Site for the Coastal Bend Community. The GED (General Education Development) exam is the only high school equivalency exam recognized by all 50 U.S. states, District of Columbia, U.S. insular areas, and Canadian provinces and territories. About the GED Exam: The GED Exam consists of the following 4 tests: Mathematics Social Studies Reasoning Through Language Arts Science The entire GED exam takes 445 minutes to complete. Examinees are encouraged not to take all four tests in one sitting. The cost of the GED exam is $145.00 total ($36.25 per subject). Examinees may retest on any subject for a discounted price. To take the official GED Practice test, visit, www.ged.com Take Your GED: Del Mar College offers the GED exam Monday thru Thursday. To schedule and pay for your exam, visit the GED website at www.ged.com. Remember when registering for GED to use your social security number to assist you in the future when retrieving your GED transcript. Passing scores for the GED exam are 145 or higher on each of the four tests. GED Transcripts: If you have already completed your GED exam and need to request an official transcript, please visit www.txchse.com. To request an official GED transcript, you must have a credit/debit card or bank account. Transcripts cost $5. Keep in mind that you may print as many copies as you wish once your transcript appears.
