    Overview:  What is a grant?

    A grant is defined as an award of money which is given to the student with no repayment required.  These are awarded based on financial need determined by the results of the FAFSA application and availability of funds.  Grants are available from various sources including federal, state and institutional funds.

    Below are descriptions of the various grants available at Del Mar College.  All grants are funded to students enrolled in six or more hours unless specific grant rules apply.

    Del Mar College offers the following grant programs:

    Federal Pell Grant (PELL)
    Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
    Texas Educational Opportunity Grant (TEOG)
    Towards Excellence, Access, and Sucess Grant (TEXAS)
