EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

 

ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT/LEAD CASHIER

 

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Associate Degree with an emphasis in finance, accounting, or business.  One (1) year of experience in customer service, business, and accounting support functions. Substitution of experience/education is 15 credit hours = 1 year of experience /1 year of experience = 15 credit hours. PREFERRED Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook software; detail oriented and demonstrated ability to multi-task and work under pressure; excellent customer service skills; supervisory or lead cashier experience in directing cashiering, registration, and related office support functions; experience in accounting support functions such as billing and financial reporting; experience in a Community College or educational setting a plus. 

 

SALARY: $2,303.75 per month, plus benefits.

 

EMPLOYMENT STATUS:  Full-time, Month-to-month, Non-Exempt. 

 

SPECIAL WORKING HOURS: Monday and Wednesday 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; and Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide supervision for the front office, customer service, as well as business and accounting support functions.  This is accomplished by safeguarding the cashiering functions, supervising the cashiering staff, provide customer service, and assisting the department manager with administrative, business, and accounting support, such as preparation billings, the reconciling of accounts receivables, and the preparation of various reports.
