DEL MAR COLLEGE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS 2003

Del Mar College does not receive any state funds for construction, physical plant maintenance, and operations. Campus construction and maintenance are the responsibility of the community college district residents.

  • The bond sales and the debt service rate increase will be phased over the life of the bond program.
  • Tax increase approved for Fiscal Year 2004 increased only 1.5 cents per $100 valuation, and less than the 2.5 cents originally proposed.
  • The total projected tax increase of 6.04 cents (.0604) per $100 valuation will cost the owner of an average home valued at $77,294 no more than an additional $43.67 per year.
  • Currently, 68% of senior citizens pay no taxes to Del Mar College due to homestead and age exemptions.
