SWIMMING POOL REGULATIONS
1. All recreation participants must sign in and present validated
DMC card prior to usage.
2. Appropriate swimming attire should be worn. No cut offs or
shorts will be allowed.
3. No jewelry, hair pins or gum are allowed in the pool.
4. No glass containers are allowed in the facility. Please
bring your shampoo, creme rinse, deodorant , etc. in plastic containers.
5. No scuba tanks or regulators are allowed in the pool, except
during instructional class.
6. Only one person will be allowed on the diving board at a
time. Only one bounce or spring per approach will be allowed.
7. No diving from the deck of the pool in less than 9' of water.
8. All persons shall walk carefully around the pool area as
it can be slippery when wet or when the swimmer is wet. Anyone
needing "special assistance" for entering or exiting
the pool should contact the lifeguard for assistance.
9. The lifeguard has full authority in determining dangerous
activity and the participant will terminate that activity when
requested.
10. The lifeguard and supervisor will remove any participant
from the facility for not complying with the regulations. (See
General Regulations regarding suspension.)
11. All children below 12 years of age must have parent or
guardian present at all times. No exceptions.
12. High diving board is off limits except when approved by
a DMC Kinesiology faculty member.
13. Any non-potty trained child must have swim or disposable
diaper under bathing suit. No exceptions.
14. No eating or drinking in pool area, dressing rooms or foyer.
Water is permitted.
15. Pool divider rope must be in place during recreational
swim and during all water exercise classes.

17. Equipment is for instructional use. Check with lifeguard,
prior to usage, for permission to use specific equipment.
18. To insure safety, additional rules may be enforced, as
needed.
