CORPUS CHRISTI PREFRESHMAN ENGINEERING PROGRAM (CCPREP)

HOW TO APPLY

Applications will be accepted beginning December 1, 2008.

For applications, contact your school principal or counselor, call the PREP office at (361) 698-1238, or use the online forms below.  Before starting online applications, make sure that the computer is connected to a printer as there will be application materials that must be printed at time of application.

Complete applications must be submitted online or in the MATH Office (Memorial Classroom Building, Room 109) at Del Mar College by 5 p.m. May 13, 2009Once the first round of selections has been made, available seats will be filled on a first come, first served basis.  Applicants will be notified, by mail, no later than May 21 as to their acceptance status.

PARENT ORIENTATION
An orientation for parents of successful applicants will be held June 2, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the Venters Business Building, Room 100, Del Mar College, East Campus. Attendance is highly recommended.

Teachers, parents and students please read this:

WHAT PREP IS WHAT PREP IS NOT
Challenging and rigorous
8 weeks of study and learning
homework and group projects
an exposure to engineers, scientists, and college "hands-on experience"
"fun and games"
a day-care center for teens
remedial

Students are not allowed to bring any athletic or amusement equipment (balls, toys, games, etc). In addition, no laptop computers, PDAs, gaming systems, etc… can be brought to class.  Students who bring these items will have them confiscated if they cause a disruption of any PREP class or event
