The required textbook for Music Appreciation is Listening to Music, 5th Edition, by Craig Wright.  The ISBN number is 9780495189732.  This book comes with a single CD which is located in a pocket in the back of the book. Please make sure the CD is there before you purchase the book. You do not need to purchase any supplemental CD sets for this course. Note: You cannot use older editions of this textbook for this class. The listening exercises are different in earlier editions.

Humanities:

The required textbook for Introduction to the Humanities is The Humanities and Western Culture, Revised 4th Edition, Brief Version by Robert C. Lamm. The ISBN number is 0-07-283598-2.

You will also need a copy of The Inferno: Dante’s immortal drama of a journey through hell by Dante Alighieri, translated by John Ciardi.  The publisher is Mentor/Penguin and the ISBN number is 0-451-62804-7.
