
R. Todd Ehle

Violinist Todd Ehle has concertized throughout the United States and abroad. Solo performances have included appearances at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall in New York City, the Prague Academy of Music in the Czech Republic, and the Elvehjem Museum of Art for Wisconsin Public Radio's "Live from the Elvhjem" in Madison, Wisconsin. Mr. Ehle's first compact disc with cellist Charles DuChateau, was the featured audio on Continental Airlines during the summer of 1994. He appears as violin soloist with the Czech Radio Symphony on Orchestral Miniatures, Volume IV, (MMC Records) and his recording of Franz Wohlfahrt's Op. 45, 60 Studies for Violin is currently available from Southwest Strings.
Mr. Ehle attended the University of Northern Colorado (BM, MM), the University of Colorado, and the Eastman School of Music. His primary violin teachers were Richard Fuchs (University of Northern Colorado), Harold Wippler (former concertmaster, Denver Symphony) and Ernest Papavasillion (Metropolitan Opera Orchestra). He also studied with Oswald Lehnert (CU) and Catherine Tait (Eastman).
