William LipmanWilliam Lipman received his bachelor of music from the Boston Conservatory of Music and his master of music in performing arts from the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester. Lipman has served as principal clarinetist and clarinet soloist with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and the Cape Town Symphony and has performed with the Boston Pops. He has performed in most major U.S. concert halls including Boston's Symphony Hall, Lincoln Center, and Carnegie Hall. Lipman has toured Canada, the U.S., the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. His recordings include musical archives, radio, and television. He has commissioned works for clarinet and saxophone for solo instrument and chamber music. He has judged U.I.L. competitions in Texas and has selected All-State music for saxophone in Texas. He also teaches music literature.
