In 1997, Del Mar College created a state of the art music technology lab. It is the most comprehensive lab of its kind in South Texas. The lab features 12 fully equipped student stations, a master teaching/recording station, an isolation booth, and audio/recording access to Wolfe Recital Hall. The courses in music technology at Del Mar College are open to ALL students in the college but designed for those persuing the AAS in Sound Recording Technology or the level 1 Sound Recording Business certificate.
