Woodwinds
A variety of course offerings is available to students majoring in woodwinds at Del Mar College. Instruction in flute is provided by Dr. Joy Kairies, and instruction in clarinet and saxophone is provided by Mr. Bill Lipman. Ensemble experiences include the Del Mar Band, the Del Mar Orchestra under the direction of Mr. Todd Ehle, the Flute Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Joy Kairies, and the Clarinet and Saxophone Ensembles under the direction of Mr. Bill Lipman.
All woodwind students meet together with their studio teacher each week to perform for each other in an information setting and to discussion issues related to woodwind playing and performance.
