Del Mar College MWF Jazz Band to Play for Hurricane Katrina Survivors
at Ben Garza Gym This Evening.
WHO: Members of the Del Mar College MWF Jazz Band, under the
direction of David Irving, professor of stage band and guitar.
WHAT: Taking a free concert of jazz music to the survivors
of Hurricane Katrina that are temporarily sheltered in Ben Garza Gymnasium.
WHEN: 5:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2005
WHERE: Ben Garza Gym, 1815 Howard St.
The sounds of Bourbon St. jazz will float to the rafters of Ben Garza Gym today,
perhaps allowing a group of hurricane survivors the opportunity to remember
better times in their home towns.
