DMC’s Campus Registration for Fall 2005 Scheduled for Aug. 23 and 24; Online Access to Register and to Pay Also Available During Arena-Style Registration Times
Tuition and fees payment due the day students register

Between July 25 and Aug. 11, over 9,600 students registered online for credit courses for Del Mar College’s fall 2005 semester. The deadline to pay for those courses was yesterday, Aug. 17.

For individuals who did not register online and for those students who did but didn’t pay their tuition and fees by the deadline, they’ll get a second chance to register for fall credit courses.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 23 and 24, the College will hold arena-style registration for credit courses on the East and West Campuses. Students can also access online registration and payment during campus registration times scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Payment is due the day students register.

Registration is conducted using alphabetic order. Aug. 23 registration starts at 8:30 a.m. with students with disabilities and then continues for students whose surnames begin with “C” and runs alphabetically through “N” the rest of the day at 30-minute intervals. On Aug. 24, students whose surnames begin with “O” can begin registering at 8:30 a.m. with the process continuing at 30-minute intervals through “B.” All students can register beginning at 3 p.m. on Aug. 24. To access a detailed registration schedule and course selections, go to www.delmar.edu/registration.html.

College administrators urged students to take advantage of online registration and pay on or before the Aug. 17 deadline to avoid standing in lines during arena-style registration and to ensure that they get the classes they need. Schedules are stripped from the system after the payment deadline to prepare for registration on Del Mar’s campuses.
For more information about campus registration, call the Office of Admissions and Registrar at 698-1255 or 1-800-652-3357.

Students or parents can access online payment services that use E-Check or CASHNet SMARTPAY by going to https://dmccert.delmar.edu/ or they can call 1-866-546-2399 to pay by credit card. The College has contracted with CASHNet SMARTPAY services to handle credit card payments using online services located on the Del Mar College Web site or using the company’s telephone system. SMARTPAY accepts payments using Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover.

Currently, the College’s Business Office will accept all forms of payments–cash, check or credit card (Mastercard and Visa only)–over the counter for tuition and fees until Sept. 30. Cashier windows are located on the second floor of the Harvin Student Center on the East Campus, Ayers at Kosar, and the first floor of the Administration Building on the West Campus, Old Brownsville and Airport Roads.

Beginning Oct. 1, the DMC Business Office will accept cash or check payments ONLY over the counter for tuition and fees. However, after Oct. 1, cashiers will continue to accept credit card payments for charges other than tuition and fees, such as library and parking fines and other payments.

For more information about payment methods, call the Del Mar College Business Office at 698-1269.

Fall 2005 credit courses begin Monday, Aug. 29.
