Set-up Instructions for CHEM 1406 Homework Checker

There is no prepared INSTALL or SET-UP program for this group.

You will have files with these extensions:

.exe The actual homework-checking program files, including:

metric.exe Metric Homework

elecfg.exe Electronic Structure Homework

gas.exe Gas-Laws Homework

radn.exe Nuclear Changes Homework

bonding.exe Bonding Homework

stoic.exe Stoichiometry Homework

soln.exe Solution Homework

.stu Storage files for your typed answers (created as you use programs)

Set-up:

1. Create a suitable directory or folder on your memory drive for the files. You might name the folder or directory “CHEM1406,” for example.

2. Download each of the listed files to the directory or folder.

Running the Programs:

1. Open the folder or directory where programs are located by using Program Manager, Explorer, or My Computer, depending on your WindowsÔ version.

2. Start the program by double-clicking the appropriate “.exe” program item.

You may also create Program Items or Shortcuts for these “.exe” files so they can be launched from your WindowsÔ desktop. See your WindowsÔ instructions for details.
