Del Mar College continues to monitor an area of disturbed tropical weather moving inland on the Texas Gulf Coast. As of Friday morning, there is a LOW (20%) chance of further development through Saturday. Heavy rainfall and gusty winds are likely across portions of the areas Del Mar College serves.

The College is continuing its normal business hours and class schedules. If the situation changes, updates will be posted through campus email and social media.

We encourage everyone to take individual responsibility for their safety and contact their professors if they cannot make it to campus.

3:30 P.M.

We are continuing to monitor an area of disturbed weather in the Western Gulf of Mexico. There is a MEDIUM (50%) chance of development over the next two (2) days. Regardless of development, heavy rainfall and gusty winds are expected across most of South Texas as we head into the weekend.

The College expects to conduct business as usual Friday, September 14. If the situation changes, updates will be posted through campus email and social media. We encourage everyone to take individual responsibility for their safety and contact their professors if they cannot make it to campus. 

Tuesday, September 11, 2018
5:15 P.m.

The Del Mar College administration is monitoring the weather situation in the Gulf of Mexico that may bring significant rain over the next few days. As of Tuesday evening, the College expects to conduct business as usual – classes will be held as scheduled and offices will remain open.

If the situation changes, further updates will be distributed through Admin Update and in the College’s social media.

Students and employees are encouraged to make plans for their own situations and take individual responsibility for their safety.
