Welcome to SRT@DMC

The Sound Recording Technology program at Del Mar College is substantial and comprehensive. Through the curriculum, students are taught to produce professional level recordings, run live sound reinforcement systems, create and edit video content, and overall be good musicians.

About the program

The dedicated SRT facilities include:

  • Two fully-equipped recording studios & control rooms
  • A music technology teaching lab/classroom with 15 student stations
  • Consoles by Solid State Logic, Toft, Allen and Heath, Soundcraft, and Yamaha 
  • A healthy collection of microphones of all genre
  • Recording/video access to Wolfe Recital Hall and Rehearsal hall via a MADI audio network

The instruction and high academic rigor is designed for those pursuing the AAS in Sound Recording Technology.
