Welcome message from Dr. Rito Silva

What a great time it is to be a Viking! There are so many exciting and fulfilling experiences taking place at Del Mar College as we achieve excellence in our mission to produce the next generation of leaders.

Our division provides a wide array of exemplary programs and services to support student success, and complement the learning that takes place in the classroom and enhance the overall educational experience of students.

I am responsible for leadership and supervision for the following areas of Del Mar College’s Student Services:

• Division of Student Outreach and Enrollment Services
• Division of Student Engagement and Retention
• Financial Aid Services
• Title V Grants

In addition, I am also responsible for the development of policies, procedures, programs, and services in accord with the latest research and in participation with relevant state and national initiatives/agencies, which will promote, encourage and support student success.

As Vice President, I have an unrestrained commitment to help our aspiring students become the compassionate, highly skilled professionals of tomorrow.
