"I knew there was more to life than just the fast food or factory industry, so I joined the military right out of high school.

While stationed in New Orleans, I took court reporting classes in the evening. However, military duty made continuing my education difficult. I enrolled in classes at Del Mar College to fulfill my dream of becoming an official court reporter and starting my own business.

Del Mar College is helping me broaden my horizons to learn more about people and myself by providing that transition from the military to a civilian lifestyle."
