Are you interview ready?

Ask yourself these questions.
  • Are you properly groomed and dressed?
    (Jeans are rarely proper - clean is in - look good/feel good.)
  • Do you know you interview time/date?
    (Promptness counts - don't be a no show.)
  • Do you have a positive attitude?
    (A negative attitude can lead to unemployment.)
  • Do you know how to properly fill out anapplication?
    (Neatness and completeness reflects good work habits.)
  • Do you have a good resume?
    (This product reflects you on paper.)
  • Can you comfortable communicate your strengths?
    (Don't brag - just facts.)
  • Do you know why you want the job?
    (If you don't know - no one will know.)
  • Are you ready to send a follow-up letter after an interview?
    (This letter shows appreciation and desire for the position. This can help you get the job.)

Remember this simple set of guidelines:
  • Dress properly for a positive first impression.
  • Appear interested.
  • Be very prepared to answer the typical interview question.
  • Project a positive image.
  • Ask for the job (if this is the position for you).
  • Arrive on time.
  • Be ready to fill out an application.
  • Have resume and reference sheet with you.
  • Be courteous to everyone you meet. (You never know with whom you are speaking.)
