EMT-Basic

The Emergency Medical Technician - Basic program is an open enrollment program.

Students must show proof of successful completion of an American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers course, or an equivalent course approved by the Program before beginning the Basic program. A CPR course will be offered within the first two weeks of the course for those students who do not possess the proper CPR credentials.

EMT-Intermediate/Paramedic

Admission into the Advanced EMT program at Del Mar College is a selective process. The admissions procedure is outlined in the Del Mar College Emergency Medical Services Professions Advanced Program Admissions Packet.

Advanced programs are started twice a year. A daytime program is started each fall and a night program is started each spring. To be considered for admission into either the fall day program or Spring program, applicants must submit their completed admissions packets by the following deadlines:

FALL—First week of July

SPRING—First week of November
