Curricula & Course Descriptions

The curricula of the Occupational Safety & Health Technology program is designed to give the successful graduate the knowledge and skills to excel as a Safety Technician or Industrial Hygiene Technician and to prepare students to gain Associated Safety Professional (ASP) certification as well as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.

OSHT DEGREE PLAN

The Occupational Safety and Health Technology program at Del Mar College offers an Associate in Applied Science degree. The Degree plan is reviewed annually by the OSHT Advisory Committee and revised as needed to reflect changes in practice.

The Occupational Safety and Health Technology AAS degree is listed in the Del Mar College Catalog.

The Occupational Safety & Health Technology course offerings are scheduled to accommodate the schedule of the working student.

OSHT COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) has developed common course descriptions to be used by all OSHT programs. These course descriptions are updated regularly to ensure that changes in the Occupational Safety & Health field are reflected in education.
