Courses Offered

READ 0305. BASIC READING AND COMPREHENSION (3-1-3) 1085212. Basic development reading course for students who do not meet the prerequisites for READ INRW 0408 or NCBO Base or NCBO Intermediate or who need help improving reading skills. Development of vocabulary, basic comprehension, study skills, critical reasoning and recognition of the organization of ideas in written material. One-hour lab required. Not counted toward graduation program or certificate. Students enrolling in READ 0305 are required to enroll in FSEM 0101. Assessment levels: R1, E1, M0.

INRW 0408. INTEGRATED READING AND WRITING. Intermediate developmental reading course for students who do not meet the prerequisites for NCBO Intermediate or other college-level courses or who need help in improving reading skills. Improvement of vocabulary, reading comprehension, critical reasoning and study skills. One-hour lab required. Not counted toward graduation. Assessment levels: R2, E1, M1.

DE02.0004. DEVELOPMENTAL READING .(1-0-1) 32.0108.61.12 Non-semester length developmental reading intervention targeting students needing minimal remediation of fundamental reading skills to develop comprehension, vocabulary, and rate. A variety of instructional methods will be used, including workshops, computer-based learning, and individual tutoring. Assessment Levels: R2, E3, M1.
