LIBRARY

Library facilities, besides the Del Mar College Library, are available to nursing students at Spohn Hospital and Driscoll Children's Hospital.  The opportunity to extend knowledge through study and research at these medical centers may be utilized when desired.  Inquire as to hours since they differ with each institution.  The photo I.D. is to be worn to facilitate admittance to these agency libraries.  Do NOT ask to be admitted without proper identification.

Library orientations at Del Mar College are also available for new students.

Tapes and films on mental health problems and answers, special health problems and others are available in the library and may be of value to many students.  Learn about the library offerings, such as tapes on coping with tension, family problems, individual and group interactions, as well as many others.

There are also books or chapters of books giving guidance for formation of good study habits.  Additionally, the Counseling and Testing Department offers 15-20 minute tapes to help students. They are free, easily available and worth the time.
