Preparations for the Visit: Chair Jim Pierce distributed a number of documents to the Committee, including a final list of the visiting committee members, a document index for the workroom document collections, a banquet seating chart, a draft of the banquet program, and a communication from Dr. Friedman to the reaffirmation committee. Pierce reviewed the banquet seating arrangements and asked the Committee members to familiarize themselves with the campuses of the visiting members with whom they will be sitting. He asked them also to review appropriate areas of the self-study documents and the Handbook for Peer Evaluators. Pierce suggested that the seating arrangements include a Steering Committee member at each table. As a result, Homer Garza was moved from Table 8 to Table 6. The visiting observer will be moved from Table 6 to Table 8. Pierce reviewed Friedman's directives to his committee members, noting especially minor changes in the schedule. John M. Crisp reviewed briefly the list of documents that had been distributed. Pierce said that the faculty roster will be ready late on the 28th and will be mailed out next week.

Next Meeting: The Steering Committee will meet again on: Wednesday, February 9, at 2:30 p.m. in VB-170.
