Meetings: Chair Jim Pierce reminded the Committee regarding the SACS "closure" meetings on November 17 and December 1. Also, to assist in reviewing faculty credentials and to review the faculty roster, the Committee will meet on November 30 and December 7, both meetings at 2:00 p.m. in VB-170.

Review of the Draft of the Summary: Pierce distributed a copy of the summary to the Report. A discussion ensued regarding the extent to which Del Mar might change as a result of the self-study. The Committee agreed to ensure that the summary speaks realistically, even somewhat skeptically, about the prospects for improvements and that it should include ways in which the institution might increase the chance that real change will take place as the result of the self-study.

Next Meeting: The Steering Committee will meet again on: Tuesday, November 30 at 2:00 p.m. in VB-170.
