Rodrigo Salinas came to SBDC for assistance in starting up his business to be known as Salinas Interactive. With much experience in web design, development and hosting, he was confident that owning and managing his own web consulting business was what he desired. Having his own personal funds and good credit, financing was not an issue for Mr. Salinas. Much of his need was general start-up issues and the details about federal, state, and city permits and requirements. Requesting a Spanish consultant at SBDC, he was referred to Elizabeth Soliz. Elizabeth provided guidance and information on general start-up and business plan assistance and outlined a course of action for getting his business started. He was also provided resources for marketing and tax issues. In January of 2003 Molecular Web, formally known as Salinas Interactive, a change of name for a more effective and globally marketable business, was officially open for business.
Mr. Salinas is proudly experiencing success and has already established a significant client base in Corpus Christi and the surrounding area. He continues to work on his business plan and marketing of the business and is grateful for the SBDC assistance.
