Del Mar College - Scholarships The Del Mar College Foundation office awards scholarships to incoming students, and continuing students. Scholarships are available and are awarded according to the criteria the benefactor outlined when establishing the scholarship. Selection of Scholarship Recipients The Del Mar College Foundation Scholarship Committees include Foundation board members, faculty, and community members. The criteria for scholarships vary; students must complete their online applications as accurately as possible. Applications are accepted from incoming students as well as returning students. Students are advised of their application status soon after the Scholarship Committees meet. Benefactors are notified of the recipients of their respective scholarships, receive the appreciation letters from the students benefitting from their scholarships along with a photo when available, and are invited to meet the recipients in person at our Foundation Scholarship Reception held each Spring. Office Hours and Location The Del Mar College Foundation is located in Rooms 131 and 129 of the Center for Economic Development on 3209 S. Staples Street in Corpus Christi, Texas. The hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Contact the office by phone at 361-698-1317. Application Deadlines Applications for Foundation & Alumni Association Scholarships will be accepted online from January 15th to April 30th with scholarships awarded for the upcoming academic year (Fall/Spring or Fall/Spring/Summer). Applying for Scholarships Regular applications are completed online during our annual application period (January 15th to April 30th). UPDATE: Students do not need to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to apply for DMCF Scholarships; however, it is recommended that they do! (It is only mandatory if applying for scholarships that require financial need.)
