Individual Work: You will be assigned homework on a regular basis. The finished work is to be placed in my mailbox by the time class starts on the date it is due. I will pick up all work on my way to the classroom. If you should arrive in the classroom after class begins, hand me your work before settling at your desk. A grade of zero will be given to all work not handed in on time.

Semester exams: There will be several semester exams. Style will vary. Exams will be cumulative. The use of a calculator and note cards (3" x 5" or 5" x 8") will be permitted. A time limit will be set for all exams.

If you should miss an exam, you must make it up before the beginning of the following class period or receive a grade of zero for the exam. No make-up exams will be given.

Final exam: The final exam will be comprehensive.

Group Participation: Groups will be formed the first day of class. Working with your group, both in and outside of class time, will be a significant method of instruction.

Out-of-class Group Projects: Several group projects will be assigned which will require completion outside of class time. A full explanation will be given in class.

Attendance: You are expected to attend class regularly. You are responsible for any information presented in class, whether or not you are present. If you should miss a class, check with a classmate concerning any information or assignments given.

Assistance outside of class time: In addition to my normal office hours, I will remain in the classroom after class has been dismissed to provide help with any of the topics. You are also free to call me at my home for assistance providing you have first consulted with your group (I am in the phone book). I do not mind home phone calls. They indicate an interest in learning the material. But I insist that you call on behalf of your group, and not just because you refuse to work with your group.

Disability Accommodations: Students requesting disability accommodations or information are encouraged to contact the Office of Special Services, 188 Harvin Center, 698-1298.
