Corpus Christi, Latin for the Body of Christ, named after Our Lord Jesus Christ, when the beautiful Bay of Corpus Christi was discovered on the Feast of Corpus Christi. (The Roman Catholic Explorers had the tradition of naming their discoveries according to the Church's Liturgical Calendar.) A unique city, just like Del Mar College is a unique institution, where I have served now for about thirty years.
