The SJC presented a forum on Homelessness in America that
included two local care-providers as well as Jessica Schuler - Policy Analyst, National
Coalition for the Homeless. April 28, 2007.

PowerPoint Tribute to Lucky Dube, November 13, 2007, Harvin Center.
Lucky Dube was a south African reggae musician whose music was against the apartheid
government of south Africa and all other corrupt and unjust governments.He advocated for
social justice and freedom. He was an outstanding performer who gained international
attention.He was killed by armed robbers who attempted to still his car and he died at age
43 leaving behind a wife and 7 children.

The Community Forum attempted to educate students on the various agencies in the
community where they could volunteer and make a difference in their lives and the lives of
others.
