Introduction

Welcome to Introductory Sociology On-Line!   This guide will assist the student with basic procedures for gaining access to the Introductory Sociology On-Line course.  Once the student enters the course, he or she will find details regarding assignments, test dates, and other necessary procedures.  Once the student enters the course, he or she should pay close attention to material in the syllabus first.  All assignments and due-dates are found in the syllabus.

This guide assumes that the student is familiar with Web-CT. It also assumes the student already has a User Name and Password (or that they know how to obtain one). It further assumes that the student knows how to find the Course Home Page. If students are unfamiliar with Web-CT basics, they should contact the Distance Learning Office.

Communication issues are dealt with inside the course.  In case problems arise, the student can always drop me an e-mail at rlong@delmar.edu.   Otherwise, use the e-mail within the course.

Initial Project

Task care of the following item within the first week of class.   It is absolutely essential that the student get in touch with the professor early in the course.

Write me an e-mail message within Web-CT and let me know that you have made it into the course.  You must do this as soon as you enter the course.

Warning:  If you don't send me an initial e-mail within the first week of class, the student could be dropped!
