Services for Senior Citzens

Lead instructors direct a class of senior citizens in the use of a computer. PowerPoint slides and a syllabus of topics to be covered are provided. You may choose to be a lead instructor for any of these classes for which you have the appropriate computer knowledgeable: Keyboarding, Introduction to PC's/Windows, (Please link these to the course descriptions) Windows, MS Word, WS Works, Digital Cameras, Genealogy On-line, MS Money, Excel, PowerPoint, QuickBooks Pro, or Introduction to the Internet and E-Mail.


Floor assistants work one-on-one with participants in a class to insure that all are on the same screen as the lead instructor. Three or four floor assistants are preferred for each class. Floor assistants should have enough knowledge of Keyboarding, Introduction to PC's/Windows, (Please link these to the course descriptions) Windows, MS Word, WS Works, Digital Cameras, Genealogy On-line, MS Money, Excel, PowerPoint, QuickBooks Pro, or Introduction to the Internet and E-Mail to be able to answer common questions.


When a class is scheduled, phone callers telephone those on the waiting list to see if they can attend the class at the scheduled time. In some cases, phone callers may need to verify that the participants have the necessary background to benefit from the class.
