SOUTH TEXAS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION
SERIES AND MODULE DESCRIPTIONS
Since each petrochemical industry and plant has its own set of procedures for each section of the plant and for operations within the plant, the modules are designed to provide a general introduction and basic knowledge of the selected topics and concepts and their related terminology upon which the module users can build future knowledge. The intent of the modules is to supplement instructional training programs and/or courses by providing visual representations through graphics and animations of various processes to promote better understanding of what occurs during some of the procedures used to convert raw materials into useable products. Simulations and scenarios are provided in some modules to allow users a safe opportunity to experience the "what if" situations which can arise in daily operations within plants.
